The best of 1960s and 1970s architecture in the Czech Republic
The exhibition culminates five years of intensive research aimed at highlighting the qualities of the architecture of the period, bringing it to the attention of the general public, achieving a stronger social awareness and thus its protection and proper care. The exhibition will offer basic information about the modern architecture of the 1960s and 1970s, aspects of its origins and a reminder of what the architecture of this period is for us today. The aim of the exhibition is to convince the visitor of the uniqueness and attractiveness of the buildings of this period and the reasons why they should remain part of the building stock of our cities. The exhibition provides a unique, visually interesting, representative showcase of the architecture of Brutalism, the Brussels style and the Normalization era.
