New pavilion of the Bulovka University Hospital

The proposal for a new pavilion at Bulovka University Hospital in Prague's Libeň includes three clinics and is located on an undeveloped plot of land. The design of the building follows the concept of existing pavilions on the site and takes into consideration the surrounding terrain and buildings. The building has two underground and four above-ground floors, with a 3.75 x 3.75 m grid base that allows for modular construction. The floor plan includes four circulation cores with staircases and lifts and two open courtyards to bring in natural light. There are separate communication cores for patients/visitors and staff/supply operations that are visually connected through the courtyards. Access to the clinics and different parts of the pavilion is provided through communication corridors. The overall design of the pavilion creates a functional and visually appealing space that meets the needs of the hospital.
