Flat with chevron

The current condition of the apartment 3 + kk on the first floor of a panel house corresponds to the wear and tear caused by normal use. The apartment has not yet undergone major structural modifications and all building structures are original and correspond to the time of their construction. The proposal assumes the retention of the 3 bedroom flat category and building alterations are minimised to interventions to non-load bearing structures. An upholstered niche with hooks and shoe rack will be created at the entrance, complemented by a mat on the floor. This is directly followed by a chevron pattern slatted floor, which is placed throughout the apartment except for the bathroom and toilet. In the hallway, built-in wardrobes provide the necessary storage space for shoes and clothes. In the second wing, a built-in wardrobe is created to accommodate the washing machine and dryer. The room is fitted out as a study in the design, the bedroom will house the principals' existing double bed, bedside tables with lamps and a built-in three-piece wardrobe. The living room will be completed with TV tables, a bookcase, a floor lamp and a sofa, armchair and coffee table. There will be a shelf above this assembly. The kitchen unit will remain the existing unit at the client's request, but will be complemented by a tall cupboard, cupboards above the unit and a new circulation hood. All walls and ceilings will be painted white, one wall in the bedroom and one in the living room will be decorative painted in a gold chevron pattern. The bathroom and the toilet will undergo a major makeover, which will be two spaces separated by sliding doors into the housing. The bathroom and toilet will be covered with a layer of grey large-format ceramic tiles, which will also be used as wall cladding. Two walls will be finished in blue tiling, again with a chevron pattern, for accentuation. The morphology of the furnishings is directly linked to the origins of the architecture of the house and takes inspiration from the Brussels style. The colour scheme is based on the contrast of the dark walnut wood of the free and built-in furniture with the white of the walls and ceilings. The character of the interior is given by the accessories in blue-gold combinations.
