The center of Horoměřice village
The urban-architectural study deals with the center of the village of Horoměřice. The addressed area currently has a number of problems, e.g. the structure of the building does not correspond to the location in the center of the village and the existence of a number of unused buildings. The proposal preserves the most architecturally and historically valuable buildings - the wing of the Strahov monastery estate with a chapel and a granary, which has considerable potential for conversion to a new purpose. These objects became the basis of the compositional axes of the design. The new structure aims to create a dignified center of the village, where a significant influx of residents is expected in the coming years due to its proximity to the capital. This fact is also reflected in the functional layout of the new buildings. An elementary school, a new municipal office, a ceremonial hall and most of the buildings are apartment buildings. A square is also created, to which other more intimate public spaces are connected; the main road is quiet.
