Academic restaurant on Masaryk college in Prague

The proposal deals with the premises of the restaurant and kitchen of the Masaryk college in Prague-Dejvice. The aim of the study was to create a worthy academic restaurant for CTU. The magnificence of the main space is supported by the axial arrangement of the restaurant and the double-armed steel staircase in the middle of the space. The new layout provides for the limitation of the background for employees and the creation of a lounge and a beer hall in part of the oversized kitchen, which have their own entrance and can thus function independently. In the hall, the second level is created by hanging from a reinforced concrete structure. However, the focal point of the restaurant is the central dining bar, where the food is also prepared. The lamps are designed to support the industrial look of the main space. The floors are cast white, in places below the gallery they turn into a white carpet. The walls are done in Venetian stucco; thus forming a contrast with the white plastered columns. The color accent is the paneling of the bar with stone veneer in amber color and especially the upholstery of the furniture. The atmosphere of the restaurant is completed by large-format paintings in the side aisles.
