Eden Transfer Terminal
The design deals with the forecourt of the SK Slavia Prague football stadium. The analysis of the current state of affairs has revealed a number of problems, including oversized roads and railways and the lack of a dispersal area in front of the stadium. With regard to the capacity of the stadium and other connected sports venues, the site has the potential to be a new transfer terminal between public train, tram and bus transport. The train platforms and bus stops are unified by a membrane canopy and the transfer between the modes of transport is intuitive thanks to the paving solution in the newly created square. As the creation of a higher-capacity terminal will undoubtedly increase the attractiveness of the area, it also includes two high-rise office buildings with commercial amenities on the ground floor. The buildings are located on the opposite side of the railway, forming an imaginary gateway between Vršovice and Bohdalec. The simple glass volumes are symmetrically spaced and enhance the significance of the transport terminal.
